Pirates of Brooklyn is the combined forces and artistic mind of captain Bradford Johansen and his sweet n salty crew of brooklynites. Brad is a illustrator/designer/adventurer and develops his passion for history,animals and wearable and hangable forms of art.
Birthed out of New England, but living in Brooklyn most his life, Brad comes from a small family with big dreams.
His creative spark was encouraged early on in life by his parents and peers who urged him to take art lessons.
Brad hand-draws all his illustrations with a trusty number 2 pencil combining images inspired by historical events and dieties worshiped by ancient cultures.
